SCLS is the sole statewide provider of civil legal services to low-income South Carolinians. SCLS continues to develop more aggressive advocacy and strengthen the capacity of lead attorneys and substantive work units. SCLS addresses all areas of poverty law but focuses its work in the areas of tax, housing, consumer protection, public benefits, domestic violence, education and elder law.
